I’m a painter and potter. I taught at the junior-senior high school and university levels for 37 years, and enjoyed working with students. Now that I’m no longer in the classroom, I devote full time to creating imagery.
At the university level I taught primarily art education and ceramics courses. I have a Ph.D. in Art Education from Penn State University.
I am also a retired Captain in the U.S. Navy, having spent twenty-three years in the Naval Reserve. I hold two Vietnam Service Medals and The Republic of Vietnam Unit Citation.
When not in the studio I do a fair amount of biking, both on-road and trail biking with my wife. We also do quite a bit of hiking.
